About Me.

Hello to All! 🙂

I go by my blog name ‘Jay’ (some know my me by my real name). I’m an 8-yr US Army veteran. I served from 1998-2006 with a few deployments under my belt – including Iraq. There are a few recent historical moments which led me to be the person I am today.

  1. September 11, 2001:  As horrifying as the attack was on our towers, just as disturbing was the way our government handled the aftermath. The crime scene was removed without independent inspection nor scrutiny, and the evidence was shipped to China (???). There is still no explanation on the unreal collapse of Bldg #7; and our president used the tragedy as a reason to whip our country into a war frenzy. Which takes me to…
  2. October 2001: Our military was quickly mobilized to Afghanistan with NO objective or practical equipment to speak of. WE were told to go in, ‘hunt down’ al Queda, and capture Osama bin Laden.
  3. Summer 2002: Numerous accounts of Anthrax attacks took place around federal buildings. This ‘bio-weapon’ showed up randomly in envelopes without any fingerprints or addresses. No culprit was ever found,  but the strain was eventually traced back to a U.S. military compound. The story quickly ended upon this revelation. But by then, pResident Bush used this unsettling ‘bio-weapon’ incident to jump start…
  4. February 2003: …his accusations against Saddam Hussein. in the darkest period of this country in MY lifestime, W. Bush again whipped the public into a war frenzy, using Rumsfeld and Powell to completely manufacture a threat out of thin air (“Unknown unknowns”). This was despite the fact that Saddam was in compliance with international laws concerning bio and nuclear weapons, Americans were instructed to be terrified of ‘Weapons of mass destruction’ – which never even existed. Our Congress wrote off on 100,000 troops being sent into the heart of Baghdad, Iraq- which posed absolutely no threat to us. We destroyed entire towns, captured and killed their ruler, and looted their temples. we also killed nearly 1 million civilians. We still have troops in Iraq to this very day…. 😐

It was these particular incidents which caused me to REALLY look into the actions of our government and military actions. Even though I was a military troop at that time, I did not always agree with the direction of our leadership. In fact, after my OIF II tenure I became an outspoken dissenter.  I am not an expert on ways of politics or even warfare – but I can tell you what am I not.

I’m not a person who can be conveniently labeled and categorized as Red or Blue. Liberal or Conservative. Left or Right. I will just as quickly argue any point on ANY side of the fence. I will readily criticize WHOEVER sits in office. I would rather think freely and universally. I look outside the box and At the box. I swim in the fishbowl but realizes the world outside the fishbowl.
